Super late post, I know, but school has been super hectic. Acads, org work and a like have been keeping my hands tied. There were even times when I didn’t go online from sheer fatigue. (gasp!) So, here’s my late, but still undeniably exciting, post about the funniest play I’ve ever seen.
A little background information about the play can be found here: Fierce, Fun and Flirty: CareDivas on the PETA Stage.
Thanks again to Shirley for getting me in for free. Though I was totally knackered and had to still go to school the next day for a soccer tournament, I went to the CareDivas showing last July 22, 2011 to meet Divine Lee (my post on that wonderful experience). What I didn’t expect was to be utterly blown away by the stars of the show.
Chelsea, the goody-two-shoes
Kyla, the songbird
Thalia, my favorite character (and Chix!)
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a decent picture of the two other Divas, Shai and Jonee. But here is one actor I couldn’t leave without having a picture with.
Me and the man with the many roles (mga 5 ata ginanapan nya)
We even saw Anne Curtis! I was too shy to get a picture taken with her though. So many people were asking for a photo and she kinda looked harassed. No matter, seeing her was enough for me. But not for my fangirl friends haha
Blurry >.< bbgirl needs an SLR haha
Well, that’s it for this star-studded event! So happy I was able to watch Care Divas before they went on tour. To the next musical!
Last Friday (July 22, 2011) was the fulfillment of a then-thought of fantasy. I got to meet THE Ms. Divine Lee at a showing of Care Divas (more on that later). My friend, Shirley, won tickets to see the show and I got to tag along. That particular showing was produced by Ms. D to support her chosen charity, Child Haus. It was also a venue where she could reach out and meet some of her fierce followers.
Please notice my excited face XD Thanks to Shirley for the free ticket and for the chance to meet Divine.
Miss D was super kaduper nice! She was the one who approached us! We were so shy and starstruck that we ended up just staring at her. She noticed our fangirly giggles and came over to sign our magazines. And, she was more than gracious enough to pose for pictures.
Here’s my stolen shot of her as she tried to entertain the crowd. She was stalling the show so that those who were still in traffic may catch the start of the play. Super bait!!
Notice her fierce Kermit Tesoro shoes XD Lovely!
Another stolen shot as she signs autographs with her fierce followers after the play.
Here’s to the nicest, prettiest, funniest, loveliest and most glamorous Filipina out there. Love you Ms. D!
I’m not one for self-pictorials so don’t expect too many outfit posts from me. (cue relieved sighs all around). I wanted to share this particular outfit, though because I believe it enunciates clearly my fashion sense.
I wore this to the Fifth Dimension party hosted by my college for the freshmen. It was the first time I went to a college-wide party so I was pretty excited. I rationalized going to this party by coming to support my friend, Joyce, who was a model at the beginning of the evening. Some elements of the outfit that I would like to point out.

First, I personally made my top. It was a Kampo Uno shirt at its beginning and ended up being my chic top for the night. I’ve had this for ages but never found an event for it.
Second, the earrings are from Forever 21. If you know me in real life, you’d know that these are my type of earrings.
Third, the skirt is from Topshop but was bought during the sale. Maybe 3 hours prior to the event.
Lastly, hello there my favorite bright red leggings.
Well, that’s it! I’ve been trying my hand at deconstructing my shirts for fashionable causes. Stay tuned and hopefully I wear more of my creations soon!
Ps. tried linking my caption to the blog of my friend who took my photo but it didn’t work. Anyway, thanks Joyceee for the photo and for being my reason to come to the party.

What’s the best way to introduce myself? How about with a feature on the July issue of Cosmopolitan?
My "paleng" photography
I’ve been teasing my friends about this piece of news for a month now. I didn’t want to jump the gun in case it didn’t end up getting published. But now it’s here!
I was one of the working students they featured for their Cosmo Campus section. I actually work as a freelance writer in my spare time. This was my very first appearance in a magazine and I was beyond excited to get my hands on a copy. By the way, I’m the one in the center.
Here are a few BTS shots.
My two co-featurettes in the background
Thanks to our make-up artist Ms. Cherry Pacheco for making the three of us super glam. And for helping me by taking my picture. Teehee. So, there it is. There I am. Expect more posts about UP and my random life next time.
PS. Grab a copy of this month’s Cosmopolitan if you want to read more about me and the two girls with me. There are other great articles and spreads in there too. My favorite is the fashion editorial on sophisticated corporate wear. Something to plan for once I graduate college XD
